About
Léonor Matet is a photo editor, writer and visual curator.
She dedicates her expertise’s gaze to tell stories through pictures and words. Make visible the invisible to ensure that individual stories become a part of History.
After studying History of Art in Paris, France, Léonor Matet worked two years at La maison rouge - Fondation Antoine de Galbert. Then, she the Executive producer of the exhibitions at Magnum Photos, before joining The Eye of Photography Staff, to become until now the picture editor of Polka, a quarterly magazine dedicated to Photography. Also in charge of the partnership and Special projects, Léonor Matet builds great visual stories and strong content through great names of Photography she works with, revealing the reality of the world by expressing the memory of tomorrow. Polka is also a gallery, with 300 m2 in the Marais, Paris, a concept-store, the Factory Polka, and a website and above all many beautiful projects dedicated to photography.
Amongst major events in the Photography industry, such as Visa pour l'Image, Paris Photo, Le Salon de la Photo, les Rencontres d'Arles, le Festival Circulations, Les Femmes s'exposent, and many others, Léonor participates to numerous juries and portfolio reviews.
